“Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.”

Napoleon Hill

The truth about effort in a nutshell.

Far too often, just as one is on the brink of a breakthrough, achievement, excellence or success – it can all come to a screeching halt.

For lack of “want to” – to simply finish.

The momentum crushing second guess.

A face-saving – but self-defeating – excuse.

And just plain quit.

Fostered by a covert network of communications  between the heart and the mind.  The internal bandwidth that can conspire to impede, alter or delete effort.

And as Mr. Hill put it, forestall its full reward.

The truly significant rewards for your efforts do not magically appear once you have achieved your goals.

They make themselves known throughout the entire journey.  Appearing in the form of faith, perseverance, fortitude and character.

Traits that are largely present within.

Yet, traits that can need to be roused.

Through  committed and sustained effort.

In time, with effort, they can become the habits leading to excellence.

The path you are meant to take.

On your intended trajectory.

And therein, friends, lay effort’s true and lasting reward.
