If only you can let it find its way into you

I wanted to share something with you I just rediscovered.

You may detect a slight  football tinge to it.

But to know me is to be able to overlook and overcome all of those gridiron detours.

So just think about it a little and tuck it away for some other time.

“With an open heart and mind, plus a  little effort, there is much joy to be found all around us when we are together.

Though you may have to learn what it looks like before you can go about finding it – I am telling you – t lasts way longer than just plain old fun.

Way longer.

Mostly because it is like this living, breathing being. Your  partner in  all the things you do, the efforts you make and the commitments you honor.

Now this  may sound dumb, but I find it in being able to do some PT’s  or sprints with you.

Just being able to run over to that south field to do game winning drive at the end of practice is a  blast to me.

Little things that bring me more than just fun.

So let me ask you this:

You ever hear what it really sounds like when you guys break the huddle all together?

Capture that sensation of coming off the ball – as one – on three?

The wonderment when the play really works?

Or know that special feeling that comes only from making a good  block, hitting the hole just right, or catching that long  pass?

I will bet all these little things could become for you what that little bit of running is for me.

Things that may not seem like all that much fun at first glance.

But moments of pure joy you can return to over and over and over again.

As often as you like.

Think about it.”

There is much joy to be found everywhere.

If only you can let it find its way into you.
